In 1977 a number of parents from Rothesay Baptist Church and the surrounding communities felt the need to establish a school which would provide a quality education for their children based on Christian principles. After much prayer and planning, Rothesay Baptist Christian School opened its doors in September 1977 with an enrollment of seventy-five students from Kindergarten to Grade twelve. Harold Braun, Pastor of Rothesay Baptist Church, served as Principal that first year. In June of 1978 we had our first graduate. It was from these beginnings that the foundation of Valley Christian Academy was planted and from which has grown the current, highly recognized Valley Christian Academy.
